The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following full time position:

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Accounting Administrator, the Accounting Administrator will be responsible for: maintaining records for accounting functions; assisting with audits; working in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable areas of the GDI Finance Department – including the supervision of staff; processing and review of student/client funding packages including assisting with student payroll; reporting to internal/external and community partners; assist in the annual budget process for all GDI entities; assist with GDI policy review, interpretation, and development; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an Accounting/Business Certificate or Diploma; previous experience in an accounting environment is required; knowledge of the Great Plains Accounting System would be an asset; the ability to multi-task, solve problems, meet deadlines, work independently and as a member of a team, and will possess strong organizational and computer skills. A good working knowledge of the Métis community is a significant asset. Attention to detail is a key requirement of this position.
Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
