The Dumont Technical Institute, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for a Sessional position for:

Part time Online Sessional Instructor – PERS 103

Competition Code: 2202 100 IL Nov 24

Responsibilities: Online delivery of the Basic Care Skills (PERS 103) class for Dumont Technical Institute’s Ile-a-la Cross Educational Assistant program via MS TEAMS or ZOOM. Duties will include implementation of Sask. Polytechnic curriculum and course materials. Instructor will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the class, evaluating student performance, providing academic guidance, and light administrative duties as required. Basic Care Skills (PERS 103) is a 45-hour course. Flexible work schedule will be available.

Qualifications: The candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and must be registered or eligible for registration (active status) with the SRNA. The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching the Basic Care Skills (PERS 103) class. Candidates will have effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Candidates will also have effective instructional ability including using technology to deliver course material online. Candidates should be knowledgeable in Métis culture and value diversity, including the ability to deliver course material to a diverse group.

Term: January 2023 – June 2023
