The Gabriel Dumont Institute’s SUNTEP program invites applications for the filling the following position:

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Program Head – SUNTEP Saskatoon, the Faculty III duties may include a number of the following: teaching University level courses, including, but not limited to; various Curriculum courses, Indigenous Studies courses, supervision of student teachers; academic and professional counseling and student support. Faculty will maintain regular office hours to counsel and assist students in their program and to participate in, and assist in organizing student group-building and cultural activities.
Qualifications: Candidates will have a Masters degree in Education and be knowledgeable about Métis history and culture as it relates to the province’s post-secondary education systems. The ideal candidate will possess vast knowledge and experience in the areas of Métis culture, transition of culturally relevant content into educational curriculum, and all aspects of the Saskatchewan K-12 system. Experience providing student support is an asset. The successful candidate must be organized and able to prioritize tasks; be friendly, personable, and able to build harmonious working relationships; and be able to exercise good judgement and protect confidential information. Preference will be given to applicants possessing a strong background in cross-cultural studies, Métis Studies, First Nations Studies, and professional studies appropriate to elementary/middle year’s education.
