Instructor – Office and Computer Training Program

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include delivery of instructional materials and program supervision in Dumont Technical Institute’s– Essential Skills for the Workplace – Office and Computer Training program in Île-à-la-Crosse. This faculty II position will teach Essential skills, Office skills and Computer Training in the Ready to Work, Job Readiness & Career Training program. This program offers essential skills training beneficial to those working in office or administrative locations with responsibilities that would include basic computer skills. Duties will include the implementation of course materials (including the reporting on learner outcomes and activities), liaising with stakeholders, and the coordination of outside agency involvement.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Education or related subject area with primary emphasis in adult education and/or career counselling. Qualified and experienced in the use of career assessment tools, life skills coaching, and use of Internet for career exploration. Office skills and computer literacy would be recommended. Basic essential skills in general and for the office will be explored. Possess computer skills and can work with multiple types of computers, technology and software programs. Applicant should have demonstrated knowledge of and involvement with local businesses, community, and labour market. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with people from various equity groups are required.

Term: January 29, 2024 – April 26, 2024
Location: Île-à-la-Crosse, SK
Salary: $66,571 – $87,603 plus benefits package
