Dumont Technical Institute, a division within the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Program Support Facilitator

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include provision of supports and guidance to Métis students who are not actively engaged in post-secondary as well as support students who are completing or have completed programming through Dumont Technical Institute. Relationship building and liaising with community partners and other organizations. Report composition, administrative and clerical support as required. Travel will be required to outlying areas, a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or Social Science OR a certificate / diploma in applicable field with relevant work experience. A good understanding of Saskatchewan’s Social Services system would be beneficial. An extensive understanding of the Métis culture and the Labour market for Indigenous people is essential to the position. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with people from various equity groups is required.

Term: November 2023 – November 2024, with possibility of renewal
Remuneration: Counsellor 2 GDI pay grid and Benefits Package
Location: La Loche, Buffalo Narrows OR Ile a la Crosse, Saskatchewan
