Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Scholarship & Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI) Scholarship Foundation Trust; advertise GDI scholarships in a variety of venues applicable to students seeking financial awards; schedule, plan, and record adjudication meetings; complete a detailed selection matrix to facilitate decision making; prepare follow-up reports for the CEO, Board, and scholarship partners; monitor and track incomplete applications and advise clients of requirements; participate in the development of new partnerships, scholarships and awards for the organization with industry, government, and private donors; develop and deliver presentations that promote GDI and the Scholarship Foundation Trust to potential partners, students, and stakeholders; coordinate the annual GDI Golf Tournament; to take on additional special projects in support of the GDI system as directed by the CEO; complete ad hoc reports as required by the CEO; represent GDI at various meetings and provide follow up reports; liaise with the public, private, government and other stakeholder agencies; any other duties consistent with the Coordinator position, as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; experience or training in a like field would be considered an asset; candidate must have exceptional oral/written communication and presentation skills, familiarity of scholarship and student awards processes; an extensive understanding of Métis culture and the needs of the Métis within Saskatchewan is required.
Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
Term: February 2025 – February 2026 (strong possibility of renewal)
