Senior Program Coordinator – Human Resources

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Program Head of Human Resources, the Sr. Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing assistance in the development, delivery, and maintenance of all human resource functions, processes and services across the Institute; assist and/or oversee procedures related to recruitment and employee relations; assist and/or oversee the administration of payroll for all entities of GDI; assist and/or oversee the administration, and maintenance, of the Institute’s employee pension and benefits programs; assist in the development, monitoring, and reporting to the Institute’s strategic plan, and other department business plans; participate in policy review, development, and implementation; preparation of quarterly and annual reports for senior management review; take on a key role as part of the implementation team for the Institute’s upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Head of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree combined with related work experience; equivalent experience and educational qualifications may also be considered; a minimum of five years senior managerial/supervisory experience in a HR related area; a thorough understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and related legislative requirements; an understanding of the relevant legislation (LSA, HRA); a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff and other agencies; minimum two years experience in a unionized work environment; extensive understanding of Métis culture and the needs of the Métis within Saskatchewan; and an excellent understanding of labour laws, issues and trends within Saskatchewan.

Term: July 2024 – June 2025 (subject to renewal)
