Sessional Instructor – Capstone Synthesis Seminar: An Integration of Theory and Practice (EDFN 899)

Responsibilities: Gabriel Dumont College requires an Education Foundation 899 Capstone Synthesis Seminar: An Integration of Theory and Practice sessional instructor, for the Indigenous Community Based Masters of Education program. The capstone seminar provides a culminating experience for students enrolled in the course only route. This course provides an opportunity for the students to integrate and act-on multiple learning experiences, including reading and analyzing research, as a way to bring deeper meaning to their graduate experiences as a whole.
The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches is an asset.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master of Education and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.
Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: La Ronge, SK
Term: July 15, 2024 – July 26, 2024 (39 teaching hours)
