Class 1 Driver Training (MELT) Program – La Loche

This program will allow students to gain their Class 1 Driver’s license through the MELT (Mandatory Entry Level Training) Program.

Program Details:

The program includes Class 1 learner license prep, learner and license exam costs, training travel, and accommodations required for learners living outside La Loche. Program end dates will vary based on the students’ driving times and exam dates.

 

 Entrance Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the program.
  • Must be a Saskatchewan Resident with a valid driver’s license
  • Can not be a Novice Driver.
  • Must be a registered Métis citizen.
  • Must submit an SGI Drivers Medical Exam before being accepted into the program.

Program Details:

  • Submit your driver’s license and resume to reception@gdins.org for your application to be considered.
  • Program end dates will vary based on the student’s driving times and exam dates.
  • There is no tuition cost for this program.
