Phlebotomy Program – Saskatoon

Dumont Technical Institute’s (DTI) Phlebotomy Program is an Applied Certificate program that certifies students to become phlebotomists.

This program covers professional practices in the industry, infection control and safety, specimen collection and handling, and basic specimen processing.

Admission Requirements:

  • Must have your Grade 12 with an overall average of 60%, and must have taken:
    • English Language Arts A & B 30
    • Foundations of Math 20 or 30 or Pre-Calculus 30
    • Health Science 20 or Biology 30
    • Physical Science 20 or Chemistry 30
    • or Previous Saskatchewan Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics requirements are also accepted.
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
    • Applicants will have the opportunity to complete the typing test before the start date of the program, so apply early.
    • 5-minute testing report must be submitted with high-school transcripts for your application to be considered complete.
  • Must complete a Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Priority will be given to Métis applicants.
