The GDI Training & Employment, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:
Administrative Assistant III

Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Employment Services Manager, the Administrative Assistant III will be responsible for ensuring quality clerical support to Gabriel Dumont Institute through effective communication, organization and technical skill. Duties will include but not be limited to; coordinating and generating reports, clerical support, responding to and directing public inquiries, arranging for travel, booking client appointments, organizing meetings, developing and maintaining spreadsheets, and any other duties assigned by the Employment Services Manager.

Qualifications: A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Institute staff and other external agencies; extensive understanding of Métis culture, employment and training needs of Métis. The successful candidate will have a certificate or diploma in Office Education, Office Administration, business college training or equivalent experience. Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Outlook, mail merge and other computer skills are essential. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills and work independently.

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Remuneration: Competitive Salary – GDI/T&E Grid Placement
Term: July 2022 – March 31, 2023 (possibility of extension)
