The Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NSITEP) – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor – Biology 140 Lab Instructor
(BIO 140 lab)
(5 days 9:00am – 4:30pm)

Responsibilities: NSITEP Air Ronge requires a sessional instructor for BIO 140 Biology 140 Lab. The BIO 140 Lab is supplemental to the introductory level course covering the principles of biology with examples taken from humans. Topics such as microscopes and cells; cell division and cancer; RNA, DNA and proteins; and Anatomy and Physiology will be studied in more detail.

The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate lab instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.

Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
