The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor- Foundations of Health & Clinical 104
Practical Nursing Program

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL

Competition Code: 2402 108P PN Jan 19 

Responsibilities: To provide instruction and assessment for the foundations 2-Mental Health class, clinical instruction and support for the clinical component of CLIN 104. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance. Attend scheduled meetings, and other duties as assigned. Evaluation of student progress using prescribed assessment measurement and oral report is ongoing during each semester.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse – Degree in Nursing. Eligible for registration (active status) with
the SRNA, have a current TLR Trainer Certificate. Excellent communication, interpersonal and
problem solving skills. A knowledge of Métis culture, the ability to work with people from various equity groups and computer proficiency is required. Effective instructional ability. Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources. Demonstrates valuing diversity.

Remuneration: As per DTI Sessional rate $65/hr
Location: Prince Albert, SK

Term: Foundations of Health January – May 2024 (60 hours)
Clinical 104 January – May 2024 (80 hours)
