The Dumont Technical Institute, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for a Faculty II position for:

Faculty II – Educational Assistant Program

Competition Code: 2402 100L EA Jul 20 

Responsibilities: Delivery of instructional material and program supervision in Dumont Technical Institute’s Educational Assistant program. Duties will include implementation of Sask. Polytechnic curriculum and course materials (including reporting on learner outcomes and activities), as well as program support to students. Instructor will be responsible for the planning and delivery of classes, evaluating student performance, providing academic guidance, and light administrative duties as required. Instructor will also be responsible for workplace job placement, supervision and coordination.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, formal experience teaching in the K – 12 system, and experience working with adult learners. Candidates will have effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Candidates will also have effective instructional ability including using technology to deliver course material online and in person. Candidates should be knowledgeable in Métis culture and value diversity, including the ability to deliver course material to a diverse group.

Term: August 2024 – August 2025
Location: La Loche, Saskatchewan
Salary: $66,571-$87,603
