SUNTEP Prince Albert requires a sessional instructor for Math 99Methods in K to 12 Mathematics 1.
Course Description: Designed to prepare students for teaching K-9 provincial mathematics curriculum and to improve their knowledge of mathematics, especially in the areas of problem solving, data management, numeration, calculation, and fractions. Students will become familiar with the current curriculum and useful support materials including manipulatives, print resources and other useful media.
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver course content that aligns with the course objectives.
Engage students in interactive and practical learning experiences. Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage active learning. Support students in their learning.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a graduate degree and be approved by the University of Saskatchewan. An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mathematics and Saskatchewan school curricular outcomes. Delivery is in person at the Prince Albert SUNTEP campus.
Remuneration: U of S Sessional Lecturer wage grid
