Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director University Programs and Services the Scholarship & Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for: coordination and management of all aspects of the Gabriel Dumont Scholarship Foundation Trust; research and evaluation of the GDI Scholarship Fund; collaborate with all areas of GDI system for the purpose of developing relevant scholarships for Metis students; ensure that scholarships and scholarship opportunities are advertised; monitor and track scholarship applications; coordination of annual GDI Golf Tournament; coordination of program and student supports in the GDI/GDC community based higher education program offerings; coordinate and organize instructor travel, University tuition billing and student enrolment issues.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor of Education preferred; experience or training in a like field would be considered an asset; candidate must have exceptional oral/written communication and presentation skills; familiarity of scholarship and student awards processes; an extensive understanding of Métis culture and the needs of the Métis within Saskatchewan is required.
Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
