The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor –Introductory Finite Mathematics I
(Math 101)

Responsibilities:
SUNTEP Regina requires a sessional instructor for MATH 101 for the fall 2026 term. This is an introductory course intended to familiarize the students with the basic concepts of arithmetic, number theory, set theory, symbolic logic, and finite mathematics. Topics include logic, sets, numeration systems, arithmetic in non-decimal systems, system of integers, elementary number theory and modular arithmetic. There will be a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem solving, understanding concepts and their applications. Instructors are responsible for; preparing and delivering course content, monitoring and facilitating class discussion, grading, submitting exams and providing support to students working on homework assignments or preparing for mid-term and final exams.

Qualifications: It is preferred that applicants will have a Master’s degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset. Candidates must be approved by the University of Regina.
