Don’t you just love all the ribbon shirts we see on proud Métis and First Nations men? Wah, wah!
There are many styles and some must be made from patterns while others are embellishments of long-sleeved, collared dress shirts. Here is your opportunity to make one like the style pictured in the photo. Adding to the collar, cuffs, and back is your option.
GDI will supply the use of our sewing machines including the thread and bobbins, a large selection of ribbons, and instruction. We have some ready-made examples to show you.
Please bring the shirt you wish to embellish.
Cost: $25/person or $35 if we are providing a clean and gently worn shirt for you.
Note that we may not have your size. If you want particular ribbons, please bring them.
Limited to 12 participants.
