The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Biology Instructor – Practical Nursing Program

Competition Code: 2102 108P May 21

Responsibilities: To provide instruction in BIO 102 to adult students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program. Planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate Biology course instruction to students. Manage classroom/lab activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance; provide academic guidance and tutorial, as required. Flexible learning may require online instruction methods. Attend scheduled meetings, evaluation of student progress and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a four-year Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Anatomy and Physiology, or a Master’s degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years recent/relevant business or industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and ability to work with diverse student populations are an asset.

Remuneration: As per Sessional salary grid

Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

Term: September 2021 – January 2022
