Responsibilities: The Employment Services Manager will assist with the coordination, delivery, and administration of employment and training services to Métis clients throughout Saskatchewan. Under the supervision of the Director of GDI Training & Employment, the Employment Services Manager will be responsible for partnerships and negotiating proposals; liaising with public, private, government and other stakeholder agencies; developing and administering employment and training programs; creating/monitoring budgets and work plans; ensuring base standards are met in the case management of clients; monitoring services/delivery for Métis clients; supervising and managing staff, following GDI policies/SGEU Collective Agreement; participating in regional labour market needs assessment processes; and other duties as assigned by the Director. Travel within the Province is a requisite of the position.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Social Sciences, Education, Human Resources or another related field; experience managing multiple staff; demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work cooperatively with staff and other agencies; have high interpersonal skills; have good communication; and workload management skills. Preferred candidates will have 2-5 years experience in the delivery of services in training and/or employment; extensive understanding of Métis culture; and an excellent understanding of current labour market issues and trends in Saskatchewan.

Term: November 2021 – March 2022 (subject to renewal)
Location: La Loche, SK (staff housing may be available)
