The Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment Inc. invites applications for the filling the following position:

Administrative Coordinator

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director – Training & Employment, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the effective administrative functions and the coordination of the daily, recurrent and ongoing activities of GDITE specific to the Métis Nation University Sponsorship Program; provide friendly and professional correspondence; maintain spreadsheets and client management system; assist/organize meetings; maintain filing system; provide coverage to other GDITE Programs as required; and all other duties as assigned by the Director and the Institute.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ post-secondary education, with a preference given to a candidate with University experience. Candidates with an equivalent level of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered. The successful candidate must have experience with, or a demonstrated understanding of, the University system; must be organized and able to prioritize tasks; must be able to exercise good judgement in recognizing scope of authority and protecting confidential information; must be proficient in Office 365, Excel, and SharePoint; and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Term: June 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022 (subject to renewal)
