Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Senior Program Coordinator will be responsible to carry out duties in the following areas: In consultation with the Finance Director, oversee the ongoing maintenance of GDI’s official accounting systems and records; ensure accuracy and assist with planning, budgeting, accounts receivable and accounts payable; participate in a lead role for GDI in the development, implementation, and change management of the new Enterprise Resource Planning System; maintain partnerships with internal/ external stakeholders and community partners; provide stewardship and accountability for organizational assets and all financial resources received and utilized; oversee and ensure the accuracy and renewal of all insurance policies related to GDI; coordinate and assist with all external audits; monitor reserve accounts and investments and review bank statements; prepare monthly financial statements and distribute accurate and reliable financial reports for Director of Finance review; participate in policy review, development, and implementation; assist with developing and monitoring annual budgets; supervise and support accounting staff, as required; and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience or training in a related field may be considered. Candidates must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, strategic leadership, and independent work habits. A knowledge of, and demonstrated proficiency in, the use of a variety of software programs is essential. Knowledge of Métis culture and history are required. Confidentiality, respect for protocol, and professionalism are required traits. Candidates with several years of experience in a related field will be given preference

Remuneration: A competitive salary plus benefits package
Term: September 15, 2022 – September 2023 (subject to renewal)
