The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Sociology (160) Online Instructor – Practical Nursing Program

Competition Code: 2202 108P Jan 31
Responsibilities: To provide online instruction in Sociology (SOC 160) to adult students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program. Planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate Sociology course instruction to students. Manage classroom/lab activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance. Attend scheduled meetings, and other duties as assigned. Evaluation of student progress using proscribed assessment measurement and oral report is ongoing during each semester.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Sociology and/or equivalent combination of training and experience. Two years of teaching experience in nursing at the college or university level is an advantage. Active registration (active status) with the SRNA would be an asset. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with diverse student populations are an asset.
Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Term: May 2022 – June 2022 (50 hours)
