The Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Casual Administrative Assistant II

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Employment Services Manager, the Administrative Assistant II will be responsible for ensuring quality clerical support to Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment through effective communication, organization and technical skill. Duties will include but not be limited to; front end reception, clerical support, responding to and directing public inquiries, preparing of meeting rooms and any other duties assigned by the Employment Services Manager.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum Grade XII, with some postsecondary training in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a certificate or diploma in Office Education or Office Administration or business college training, current post-secondary students with a Friday availability are welcome to apply; a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Institute staff and other external agencies; extensive understanding of Métis culture and employment and training needs of Métis. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer skills are essential. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.

Term: March 1, 2022 – March 31, 2023
Remuneration: $19.23/hour
Location: Regina, SK
