The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities: To provide in-person instruction in Basic Nutrition (NUTR 120) to students enrolled in the Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program. This course is an introduction to nutrition and health. The concepts of recommended nutrient intakes and dietary guidelines are introduced. The major nutrients and their functions in the body are outlined. Nutrition issues facing the general public are presented.
The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Science and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Saskatchewan. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with diverse student populations are an asset.
