Program Support Facilitator

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include the provision of support and guidance to Métis students who are actively engaged in post-secondary through Dumont Technical Institute. Assisting adult learners to enable them to develop personal goals and career plans while assisting them through their education and onto employment. Relationship building and liaising with community partners and other organizations. Report composition, administrative and clerical support as required. Continuous research on support and services that could meet the needs of the students. Travel will be required to outlying areas, a valid driver’s license is needed.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Social Science, Education, or Humanities, OR a certificate/diploma in an applicable field, OR 1-2 years of relevant work experience. An extensive understanding of the Métis culture and the Labour market for Indigenous people is essential to the position. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with people from various equity groups is required. A good understanding of Saskatchewan’s Social Services system would be beneficial.
Term: January 2024 – January 2025, with a strong possibility of renewal
Working Days: 199 working days per calendar year
Remuneration: $53,691-$70,653 plus benefits package and Northern Allowance
