The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Sociology (171) Online Instructor – Continuing Care Assistant

Competition Code: 2302 108SR Mar 15

Responsibilities: To provide online instruction in Sociology (SOCI 171) to adult students enrolled in the Continuing Care Assistant program. Planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate Sociology course instruction to students. Ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance. Attend scheduled meetings, and other duties as assigned. Evaluation of student progress using proscribed assessment measurement and oral report is ongoing during each semester.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Masters Degree in Sociology and/or equivalent combination of training and experience. Two years of recent/relevant business/industry experience or post-secondary experience is an advantage. Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills required. Good interpersonal and communication skills – written and oral, effective instructional ability and the capacity to work with diverse student populations are an asset. Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources required.

Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
Location: Regina & Saskatoon, SK
Term: September 2023 – December 2023 (67.5 hours)
