The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invite applications for the following full-time position:

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Finance, or designate, the Finance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining records for accounting functions and assisting with audits; overseeing the procurement and accounts payables areas of the GDI Finance Department – including oversight of the Institute’s purchase order processes; administration and oversight of the Institute’s contract management processes; reporting to internal/external and community partners; responsible for the administration and management of all GDI insurance requirements; assist with GDI policy review, interpretation, and development; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance. A combination of equivalent educational qualifications and work experience may be considered. Previous experience with financial systems and management/supervisory experience would be considered an asset. A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff and other agencies is a must. An extensive understanding of Métis culture is required.
Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package
