The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities: To provide instruction of the SIIT Mental Health & Wellness curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. This includes: program support to adult students, plan and deliver instruction, evaluate student performance and provide guidance. Ensure positive learning environment to engage student learners with contemporary learning as well as Indigenous knowledge with a holistic approach. Perform administrative duties as required.
Qualifications: The candidate will have a Bachelor of Education degree, Social Work degree or a degree in a related field as it is a requirement of the position. Experience working with adult learners and understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset. Experience within the Mental Health & Wellness field is preferred. Prior teaching experience and knowledge of Metis culture is favored. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work with people from various equity groups is required.
Remuneration: $66,571 – $87,603 plus benefits package
Location: Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan
Term: August 2024 – June 2026
