Dumont Technical Institute, a division within the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Part Time Faculty II Instructor – Continuing Care Assistant Program

Responsibilities:
To provide practical and theoretical instruction of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Continuing Care Assistant Certificate program, as well as program support to students. Instructor will be responsible for the planning and delivery of classes and labs, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with degree in Nursing. Education or related subject area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ Association of Saskatchewan. Minimum two years of relevant experience in geriatric care (i.e. Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care, Community Care or Acute Care Medical Units). Requires up-to-date TLR, first aid and WHIMIS. Experience in adult education and instruction, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with people from various equity groups are required. Experience in long term care is an asset.

Remuneration: $66,571 – $87,603
Location: Île-à-la-Crosse, SK
Term: September 2024 – June 2025 – 120 days (possibility of extension)
