The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Part-time (0.5) Academic Support Instructor

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL

Competition Code: 2402 100P HETTT Oct 11 

Responsibilities: To provide academic and instructional support, administrative support, and cultural support to adult learners in DTI’s Saskatchewan Polytechnic brokered Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician Program. Instructor will liaise with industry and academic stakeholders, provide mentorship to students, and assist with various program administrative duties to help ensure student success. Program has flexible hours to accommodate a .5 part-time role.

Qualifications: The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline, experience working with adult learners, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of adult education principles would be an asset. Candidates should be knowledgeable in Métis culture and have excellent interactive skills, including the ability to deliver interactive training to a diverse group.

Remuneration: $72,038 – $94,798

Term: October 2024 – June 2025 (Possibility of renewal)

Location: Prince Albert, SK
