The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Full Time Instructor – Practical Nursing Program

Responsibilities:
Provide in person instruction to 16 practical nursing students in classroom, lab and clinical experiences. Teach an advanced practical nursing skills course including in-class instruction, marking of assignments and exams, assessment and communication of student progress. Plan, organize, and administer accompanying lab component of skills course as well as assist with pharmacology labs. In collaboration with other lab instructors, provide IV skills practice and testing. Supervise a group of practical nursing students in a medical or surgical, and mother/baby clinical setting with commensurate duties including assessment, documentation, and instruction. Participate as part of the practical nursing team in meetings and planning as required.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse – Bachelor’s degree in nursing, currently registered with the CRNS
TLR, CPR/BLS, Two years of recent experience on a medical or surgical acute care unit.
Knowledge of Metis culture and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Brightspace LMS an asset.
Mother/baby unit experience an asset.

Remuneration: $66,571 – $87,603

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Term: August 2024 – August 2026 (possibility of extension)
