Dumont Technical Institute, a division of the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Program Coordinator – Trades

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director, the Program Coordinator position will be responsible for the implementation, coordination, and administration of Dumont Technical Institute training programs with a focus on pre-employment trades, industry certification, and other credential programs. This includes the coordination of on-site student supports, securing infrastructure needs for program offerings, managing partnerships with key stakeholders, scheduling and delivery of academic courses, supervision and support of faculty, program delivery supports and ensuring curricula as prescribed by certifying bodies is satisfied. Travel will be required to outlying areas, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Science/Studies, Education, or a relevant field of study. An extensive understanding of the Métis culture and the Labour market for Indigenous people in essential to the position. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with people from various equity groups is required.

Remuneration: A Competitive Salary and Benefits Package
Term: August 1, 2024 – August 1, 2025
