The Gabriel Dumont College – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor – Curriculum Development (EC&I 804)

Competition Code: 2404 100P 804 May 3

Responsibilities: Gabriel Dumont College requires an EC&I 804 Curriculum Development sessional instructor, for the Indigenous Community Based Masters of Education program. This course considers key concepts and forces involved in shaping curriculum decision making, theories of curriculum and practical aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation and research.

The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches. This program is designed for working professionals and such courses will be delivered during weekend sessions

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master of Education and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.

Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Term: January 6 – April 11, 2025 (39 teaching hours)
