Sessional Instructor – Culturally Responsive Literacy Education (ERDG 425)

Responsibilities: SUNTEP Regina requires a sessional instructor for ERDG 425 Culturally Responsive Literacy Education for the winter 2025 term. This critical multicultural literacy assessment and instruction course examines the purposes of literacy and assessment. It provides teachers with knowledge and experience to design and implement assessment and instruction within broader views of culture, literacy and assessment.
The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master of Education and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Experience in elementary education is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.
Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
