The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor – Experiential Learning for Young Children (ECE 325)

Responsibilities: NSITEP La Ronge requires a sessional instructor for ECE 325 Experiential Learning for Young Children. Planning, organizing, and evaluating learner-centered curriculum and environments for young children. Multiple modes of learning and forms of representing learning. Applying principles of developmentally and culturally appropriate practice to classroom environments.

The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master of Education and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Experience in elementary education is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.

Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: La Ronge, SK
Term: January 6, 2025 to April 30, 2025
