Curriculum Developer II – Leave Replacement

Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Director of the Institute’s Culture and Heritage Department, specific duties include: developing curriculum materials, performing needs analyses; developing print, audio-visual and multi-media curricula and learning resources from concept to final product; competency using publishing and graphic design software; evaluating and/or revising developed materials; and working with Michif language keepers to create Michif resources. Other duties include assisting with proposal writing and reporting; financial reporting; budget creation and management; project leading, planning and implementation; recommending curriculum materials, both within the Institute and externally; workshop delivery; meeting planning; overseeing the Department’s projects, partnerships, and performing public relations functions as designated by the Director.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education; successful K-12 classroom teaching experience; and an extensive knowledge of Métis cultural and educational issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, highly motivated, and the ability to work independently with individuals from various equity groups is required. A valid Saskatchewan driver’s licence and the willingness to travel is required. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive computer and software literacy and experience, knowledge of publishing industry protocols, experience with project administration. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Term: August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026 (possibility of renewal)
Remuneration: As per GDI Curriculum Developer 2 salary grid
