The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:
Casual Tutor – Mental Health & Wellness Program

Responsibilities: Provide support and assistance to the students and instructors in the Mental Health and Wellness programs in Ile-a-la Crosse and Buffalo Narrows. Provide one-on-one assistance to students with assignments and coursework taught by instructors. Help students catch up on missed classes by distributing handouts, sharing important information, and ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Assist instructors with preparation tasks, such as photocopying and organizing materials for lessons. Support the coordination of events, including graduation. Assist with student fundraising initiatives to support program activities.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum grade 12 diploma, and experience working with adult learners would be an asset. Good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with people from various equity groups are required. Experience tutoring or teaching would be considered an asset.
Location: Île-à-la-Crosse or Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan
Term: March 2025 – June 2026, excluding July and August 2025
