The Dumont Technical Institute, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for a Faculty II position for:

Faculty II – Early Childhood Education Instructor

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be responsible for the instructional planning and delivery of the Lakeland College Early Childhood Education Certificate program. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to course lessons, assignments, lectures and hands-on learning opportunities. Duties will also include providing support and guidance for all students, organizing and supervising students in practical work experience and evaluating student performance (e.g., observations, assignments, exams, and progress reports).

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education Degree and specialize in Early Learning and Child Care. A Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education will be considered, with experience working in early years settings (e.g., daycares/day homes, early childhood intervention programs, etc.). The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, the ability to deliver instruction effectively and familiarity with diverse learning needs and be willing to take an inclusive approach to teaching within their classroom. The ability to work with people from various equity groups is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at the post-secondary level and previous involvement in early childhood settings would be considered an asset.

Term: August 2025 to June 2026
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Salary: $72,038 – $94,798
