Dumont Technical Institute, a division within the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and applied Research, invites applications for the following position:
Program Support Facilitator
Competition Code: 2502 108P PSF Sep 30
Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include provision of supports and guidance to Métis students who are not actively engaged in post-secondary as well as support students who are completing or have completed programming through Dumont Technical Institute. Relationship building, liaising with community partners and other organizations. Report composition, administrative and clerical support as required. Travel will be required to outlying areas, a valid driver’s license is needed.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work plus two years of client support experience. Consideration will be given to Bachelor’s degrees in Education, Humanities, or Social Sciences or a comparable combination of education and experience. An extensive understanding of the Métis culture, barriers to education and the labour market for Métis and Aboriginal people is essential to the position. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability and the ability to work with people from various equity groups is required.
Term: November 1, 2025 to October 31, 2026
Remuneration: Program Support Facilitator 2 GDI pay grid and Benefits Package
