Gabriel Dumont College requires an ED 956 Indigenous Perspectives on Issues and Challenges in Current Educational Practices sessional instructor, for the Indigenous Education Doctorate program. This course provides students with a framework for identifying and analyzing an educational practice-related concern. Students will integrate Indigenous theory, a variety of academic literature, and relevant experiences to investigate the core causes and systemic difficulties that have an impact on everyday educational practices.
The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.
Qualifications
Candidate will posses an Education Doctorate or Ph.D. in Education appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset.
Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: Remote
Term: January 2, 2026 – April 13, 2026 (39 teaching hours)
