SUNTEP Prince Albert requires a sessional instructor for EFDT 101.3 – Introduction to Education
Course Description: This course introduces historical, philosophical, sociological, and cultural contexts of education. It lays foundations for inquiry into how these foundational studies inform education and pedagogy (teaching and learning). It considers teacher ethical responsibilities in relation to the environment, diversity, and social justice.
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver course content that aligns with the course objectives.
Engage students in interactive and practical learning experiences. Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage active learning. Support students in their learning.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in Education and be approved by the USASK College of Education. An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of educational theories and current practices within the Saskatchewan school curriculum.
*Delivery is in person at the Prince Albert SUNTEP campus or hybrid or remote for the right candidate – Wednesdays 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Remuneration: U of S Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Term: September 10, 2025 – December 3, 2025 (39 contact hours)
