Dumont Technical Institute, a division within the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities: INTERNAL
To provide clinical supervision for students enrolled in the Indigenous Birth Support Worker (IBSW) Program during their practicum placement. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to students within the clinical setting; supporting them in applying their knowledge in a practical environment and navigating clinical experiences with confidence and professionalism. The Supervisor will promote and ensure that care is delivered in a culturally safe, respectful, and trauma-informed manner. Additionally, the Supervisor will review nursing assignments at the beginning of each shift, assist with aligning students alongside nursing staff, and remain available throughout the shift to provide support, answer questions, and address any concerns that may arise.
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Eligibility for active registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Saskatchewan or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan is required. Current certifications in TLR, First Aid, CPR with AED, PART, N95 fit testing, and WHMIS are mandatory. Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or supporting culturally safe care is considered an asset. Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
Remuneration: GDI Faculty 2 wage grid
Location: Saskatoon, SK.
Term: May 19, 2026 to June 8, 2026
