The Dumont Technical Institute a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities: The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Instructor is responsible for the delivery of instructional materials and overall program supervision within Dumont Technical Institute’s ABE program. This includes planning, preparing, and delivering curriculum aligned with approved outcomes for courses such as English Language Arts 30, Foundations of Mathematics 30, Indigenous Studies 30: Canadian Studies, Biology 30, Financial Literacy 30, and two 30-level electives. The instructor assesses and evaluates student learning, maintains accurate records, and reports on student academic progress. The role requires strong technological skills to effectively support both in-person and online learning environments. The instructor fosters an inclusive and supportive classroom, adapts instruction to meet diverse adult learning needs, and provides guidance and feedback to support student success. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in program planning and continuous improvement are also key components of the position, along with upholding institutional policies and maintaining professionalism at all times.
Qualifications: The candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and be currently registered, or eligible for registration, with the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB). Candidates will have effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), effective instructional ability including the use of technology to deliver course material, and the ability to deliver course material to a diverse group. Candidates with a sound knowledge of Métis culture are preferred.
Remuneration: $72,038 – $94,798 plus benefits package
Location: Beauval, Saskatchewan
Term: August 2026 – June 2027
