The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Responsibilities:
To work with faculty, students, staff and clients of Institute programs, as well as the public. To facilitate access to library resources and to develop information literacy skills in library users. Duties will include assisting with catalogue and database searches for materials (physical and digital), genealogical research, locating materials on the shelves and in electronic collections. Troubleshooting technical issues, and APA citations, as well as circulation of materials, dealing with general inquiries in person and over the phone, re-shelving of physical materials, collection of statistics, and other duties assigned by the Program Head.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have library experience and be familiar with the Alma/Primo integrated library system, as well as Dewey classification. The individual must have sound knowledge of and practical application skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.); excellent interpersonal and communication skills; be highly motivated; information literate; attentive to detail, and able to maintain user confidentiality. Applicants will have the ability to work with individuals from various equity groups with little supervision and have a good working knowledge of Métis history and culture.
