Come Celebrate Mass at the Historic Batoche Church in honour of St. Joseph

2:00 p.m. service with refreshments and music by Donny Parenteau to follow.

The Gabriel Dumont Institute is also pleased to offer a free download of the song, “Welcome to Batoche,” composed and performed by JJ Lavallee and featuring Donny Parenteau. We hope you enjoy it in anticipation of hearing it performed live during Back to Batoche Days July 18 to 21, 2024

Batoche is the heart of the Métis Homeland, a spiritual place of great reverence to the Métis. JJ Lavallee was inspired, on site, to create this uplifting song calling all Métis home to celebrate its special significance as our people thrive. The Gabriel Dumont Institute has supported the recording of this work and for it to be a give-away through the celebration season! Enjoy!
