Dumont Technical Institute (DTI) is pleased to announce that Dayna Inkster will join the institute as Director, effective October 1, 2026.
Dayna is an educator and leader with more than 14 years of experience spanning teaching, Indigenous education leadership, and systems-level work. A citizen of the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan, her work has focused on advancing equity in education, strengthening culturally responsive practices, and creating meaningful opportunities for learners and communities.
Dayna holds a Bachelor of Education through SUNTEP at the University of Saskatchewan and is currently completing a Master of Education in Social Justice at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.
Throughout her career, she has led strategic initiatives, developed educational frameworks, contributed to provincial priorities and policy work, and supported the embedding of Indigenous ways of knowing within educational systems. Her work is grounded in relationality and strengthened through collaboration with Indigenous communities, educational organizations, and provincial partners.
Dayna is excited to bring her experience and leadership to her new role as Director of Dumont Technical Institute.
