Water Distribution & Collection Training Course

The Water Distribution & Collection Training course is being delivered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Radius Community Centre in partnership with the Saskatoon Tribal Council, the Gabriel Dumont Institute, and the City of Saskatoon. The training is an opportunity for Indigenous people to gain essential skills and access employment opportunities in water treatment and distribution facilities —such as with the City of Saskatoon’s Water and Waste Operations.

Course Details
The Water Distribution & Collection Training course is an 11-week course beginning January 10, 2022.

The training course will include the below training breakdown:

  • 4 Weeks of Essential Skills Training
  • 2 Weeks of Water Collection and Treatment Training Level One
  • 2 Weeks of Wastewater Collection and Distribution Level One
  • 1 Week of First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Service Best Training
  • 2 Weeks of  Work Experience

Admission Requirements

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Class 5 Saskatchewan’s Driver’s License
  • Driver Abstract (within the last 3 months)
  • Résumé (include 3 references)
  • Must be Indigenous
