Gabriel Dumont Institute Scholarship Foundation II
National Indian Brotherhood (NIB) Grant Scholarship
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The intent of the NIB Grant Scholarship is to provide Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI) students with financial support for their continued education. This scholarship program is open to Métis, Non-status and First Nations students studying full-time in a Gabriel Dumont Institute program, who have attempted, but have been unsuccessful at securing educational funding. First priority will be given to Métis students studying at GDI who are not receiving educational sponsorship and who did not receive this scholarship last year.
Selection will be based on financial need, essay submission, and demonstrated academic ability. Chances of receiving a scholarship depend on the number of submissions received.
Award Amount – 25 awards of $8,000 for one academic year of studies (8 months). Will be paid in monthly installments of $1,000 per month (September 15th – April 30th).
Who Should Apply – This scholarship is open to Métis, Non-status and First Nations students in a GDI (SUNTEP, GDC, DTI) program who are not receiving sponsorship or band funding. Métis students studying at other post-secondary institutes may also apply.
Deadline to Apply – 4:30 pm on August 17th, 2018 (late applications will not be accepted).
