Immediate Assistance Program

Do you have a letter of offer from an employer, but require some assistance getting prepared? Do you require work boots, a bus ticket, or other items to start work? Gabriel Dumont Institute Training and Employment can help!

The Immediate Employment Assistance program aims to assist Métis clients who have an offer of employment but require monetary assistance to start their job.

Clients who received employment transition allowance are not eligible for the Immediate Employment Assistance Program.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Be a Métis person;
  2. Be a minimum of 18 years of age or meet minimum requirements of chosen training;
  3. Have barriers to employment that prevent you from securing long-term employment;
  4. Be unemployed or underemployed and actively seeking employment; and
  5. Have a letter of offer for guaranteed employment from an employer.

APPLICATION PROCESS
